The effectiveness of Effitan has been tested both at the Swiss Tropical Institute in Basel and at the Institut Dr. Dautel in Berlin. The results show that Effitan protects effectively against mosquitoes for up to 8 hours, and against ticks for up to 6 hours. The testing concluded that Effitan was effective for 2 hours longer than the best selling market leader, Autan.
Additional outdoor tests conducted show Effitan's effectiveness in protecting against horseflies and fleas.
Effitan is DEET free.
