Breathing is a unique blend of species that have all been recognised as having action against lungs and respiratory ailments. As with all other mushrooms used in these extracts, the species here have been selected for their ability to enhance weakened immune systems.

This extract contains: Cordyceps, Reishi, Artist’s Conk, Maitake, Polyporus umbellatus and Phellinus linteus.

One of the main criticisms leveled at mushroom and herb-based products are the inconsistencies in product quality, and the many differing methods of production. A criticism against mushroom growers is that since no two will operate the same growing strategy, the mushrooms will grow differently from site to site and inconsist-encies in their properties will occur. Some producers mix mushrooms harvested from the wild with cultivated versions, and this often results in a finished product with varying levels of beneficial compounds.

There are very few companies in the world who are able to grow mushrooms and process them from one site, the majority relying on outside growers to provide them with mushrooms. Our products and manufacturing processes have gained organic certification (Soil Association – Organic Certification UK5), and we believe that our operation is unique in Europe.

Given that the criticisms have some genuine concerns attached, we have endeavored to develop production processes where consistency is paramount. We maintain our own culture stock and only replenish these from reputable businesses, which operate a similar trading ethos, or we collect native strains from the wild.

We source our sawdust from local sawmills and our hardwood logs from local woodlands. Other ingredients are purchased from registered organic suppliers and we would suggest that they are the finest available to us, without having to purchase from outside the UK. There are absolutely no chemicals or genetically modified ingredients involved in any stage of our growing and production process
