Cook Yourself Thin on Channel 4
CoffeeSLENDER was recently featured on the hit Channel 4 TV diet show, Cook Yourself Thin.
If you missed the show, Cook Yourself Thin selected four volunteers to try dieting with CoffeeSLENDER for six weeks. Another group of the same size was given an alternative product (instant low calorie hot drinking chocolate). Both groups were instructed to drink a cup after each meal, but not to diet. After the six weeks, the weight loss for each group was measured.
Although the show only had time to feature the average weight loss of the two groups, here are full results:
Group A
CoffeeSLENDER
Group B
Instant Chocolate
Volunteer 1 - Lost 1kg
Volunteer 1 - Gained 0.8kg
Volunteer 2 - Lost 0.7kg
Volunteer 2 - Lost 2.6kg
Volunteer 3 - Lost 1.4kg
Volunteer 3 - Lost 0.7kg
Volunteer 4 - Lost 1.1kg
Volunteer 4 - Lost 0.2kg
TOTAL WEIGHT LOST- 4.2kg
TOTAL WEIGHT LOST - 2.7kg
As you can see, the CoffeeSLENDER diet group won! They lost a total of 55% more weight than the Instant Chocolate group.
All the CoffeeSLENDER drinkers lost weight, despite not dieting, with three out of the four losing at least a kilo in just 6 weeks. The group drinking the instant chocolate didn't fair so well - one lady even put on weight!
Although Cook Yourself Thin did not advise the participants to diet, it is important to note that CoffeeSLENDER isn't a miracle cure - for maximum effect it is important to use CoffeeSLENDER in combination with a diet and exercise program.
Here are some key points about CoffeeSLENDER
CoffeeSLENDER's effectiveness is backed by several independent scientific studies. The but in summary, the average results across the studies show that dieting with CoffeeSLENDER is much more effective that dieting alone.
CoffeeSLENDER is available either as an instant coffee (as seen on the show), or alternatively as decaffeinated tablets
CoffeeSLENDER works by reducing the amount of carbohydrates absorbed from food, making dieting much more effective.
Dr Erling Thom, who ran some of our studies
Several controlled scientific studies have been conducted on Svetol®, the active ingredient, and also on CoffeeSLENDER®.
In these studies, the participants who used Svetol lost around twice as much weight compared to those on the same diet but not taking Svetol.
All the scientific data supporting CoffeeSLENDER has been thoroughly reviewed by Dr R.E. Lister. Dr Lister is an independent expert in Clinical Pharmacology, Trial Management and Nutrition and, amongst various Advisory roles, is Chairman of the Institute of Brain Chemistry and Human Nutrition at London Metropolitan University. He has had over 60 scientific papers published.
This is what Dr Lister had to say about CoffeeSLENDER:
“The results from the studies on volunteers using either Svetol or CoffeeSLENDER are sufficiently convincing to warrant the conclusion that CoffeeSLENDER can be of positive benefit in aiding weight loss when used according to the maker’s instructions”.
Details of these studies as well as references to other research into the bio active substances contained in coffee , but in summary;
In 2005 Dr. Erling Thom of PAREXEL (a company that specialises in managing clinical trials) conducted three separate trials on Svetol and CoffeeSLENDER in Norway. The main study was a randomised, placebo controlled double blind study using Svetol combined with a calorie-controlled diet over 60 days. The 30 participants using Svetol lost more than twice the amount of weight compared to those on the same diet but without Svetol. Those receiving Svetol lost an average of 5kg (11lbs). The other 20 subjects following the same diet but not taking Svetol lost an average of 2.4kg (5.2lbs). Dr Thom also conducted two further trials. The results of these studies were also conclusive. The first showed that a single does of Svetol caused a 20% reduction in glucose levels after one hour (compared to eating the same food but without Svetol). The second was an open label study on CoffeeSLENDER. Participants drank a cup of CoffeeSLENDER three times a day after meals for 90 days. Participants were not asked to change their diet or exercise habits*. The average weight loss was 5.4kg.
In 2002, Dr. Blum and Marshall-Blum LLC (also a company that specialises in clinical trails) conducted a study using Svetol at the University of Maine Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. In this study, the respondents lost an average of 1.5kg (more than 3lbs) in 6 weeks without diet or exercise changes*.
A randomised placebo controlled study on 50 people over 60 days was undertaken by the Antonio e Margherita Hospital in Tortona, Italy. The results showed that Svetol can assist calorie controlled dieting. In the results, the 30 volunteers taking Svetol after their main meals lost an average of 4.9kg, with the other 20 volunteers not taking Svetol only losing 2.45kg. The results of this study have recently been published in the scientific journal Phytotherapie. These results as shown below - the graph on the left shows the increased weight loss with Svetol, and the graph on the right shows that Svetol also induced a greater change in the Body Mass Index.
As you can see, these studies show that dieting with CoffeeSLENDER may be around twice as effective as dieting alone. To purchase CoffeeSLENDER and boost your diet's results, click here
