Our hoops are all hand made, which takes time, they are then decorated, again by hand, in both cases they are crafted using quality materials, and finally there is the cost of postage and packaging. We also only use materials sourced in the UK, we could probably get cheaper materials, and a larger choice of colours etc by ordering from abroad, but that uses more of our world's reources, and creates more carbon dioxide, all of this means that although our hoops are not as cheap as toy hoops from toy-shops you are getting a quality hoop that you will not only be able to "Hula" without too much effort, but you will also enjoy using.
