Nourella has been scientifically tested and scrutinised for efficacy in the treatment of sun damaged and aged skin. Some of the findings from these clinical studies are as follows:
1. One trial involved a double blind, placebo controlled study to examine the effects of the food supplement Vivida (Nourella) on sun-damaged skin in females. The results found that 100% of the subjects within the treatment group who completed the trial showed a thicker and more elastic skin without dryness. Of these, fine wrinkles had completely or almost completely healed for 77% of the subjects and deep wrinkles (>1mm) had completely or almost completely healed for 54% of subjects.
2. A second study, carried out at the Helsinki Research Centre, examined the repairing effects of Vivida (Nourella) on skin atrophy* due to long term use of potential topical steroids. Forty patients with an average age of 43 were treated for 8 months and the results were as follows:
