Can I use the Skin Laser for undereye wrinkles?
Yes, when the Skin Laser is placed on the skin, each wavelength penetrates and heals different levels in the skin tissue, promoting collagen synthesis and collagen is largely responsible for skin strength and elasticity, strengthens blood vessels and plays a role in tissue development.

Each Wellay @home Skin Laser uses 12 lasers at 4 different wavelengths, (670nm, 780nm, 830nm, 910nm), to promote collagen production and healthy, radiant skin. (Other cosmetic lasers are single wavelength and only treat one level of the skin tissue).

Increased collagen production can help to fill in the fine lines and wrinkles around and under the eyes and improve other signs of aging.

For eye safety, the Smart "Face-Away" sensor ensures that the laser beam is automatically switched off whenever the distance between your skin and the laser is more than 10 centimetres. However, always be sure to avoid looking into the laser.

Can the Wellay laser treat rosacea and redness? I have had IPL treatments for rosacea by special skin specialists, but just wondered would your skin laser be of the same benefit?
No, the Skin Laser is not suitable to treat rosacea. You need medical strength lasers for satisfactory results and need to be treated by medical professionals.

I am paying 1200 euro a session for IPL to treat facial flushing. Naturally this is very expensive. Can your skin laser help with this condition?
No, the Skin Laser is not suitable to treat rosacea. You need medical strength high power lasers for satisfactory results and need to be treated by medical professionals.

The IPL laser treatment you are having uses high power lasers and burns off the skin tissue whereas the Wellay @home Skin Laser uses low level laser therapy (LLLT) which is low power lasers promoting gentle healing from within the skin tissue. That is why it is safe for home use as it is low power and has no side effects.

Could you please let me know if the Skin Laser would remove my old, dark scars? How long before will I see a result?
Yes. Old, dark scars would be positively affected by healthier skin conditions resulting from using the Skin Laser consistently over several months but I couldn't guarantee that the scars would be removed. However, your skin would generally be revitalised and much healthier so the scarring would be improved in appearance.

Is the Skin Laser helpful with spider veins?
Yes, the WellaySkin laser can be used to help spider veins as it uses low level laser light therapy which promotes blood circulation, strengthens blood vessels and promotes skin resilience and elasticity.

Can I use the skin laser to treat vitiligo?
No, it wouldn't help at all with vitiligo as the skin lasers operate at red and infrared wavelengths and the only light used in treating vitiligo is UV ultraviolet light.

How powerful are the lasers in the Skin Laser?
The Wellay Personal Skin Laser has 12 lasers arranged in 3 groups of 4. In each group there is a 670nm red laser, a 780nm infrared laser, an 830nm infrared laser and a 910nm infrared laser. Each group of lasers has an output power of 20mW which combine to make a total power of 60mW for the Wellay Personal Skin Laser.

Will the Skin Laser get rid of stretch marks?
The Skin Laser will help with stretch marks but it will not get rid of them. Low Level Laser Therapy which is the technology used by the Skin Laser, works from within gradually over a period of time.  It helps to rejuvenate the skin by the activated blood flow and more nutrients and oxygen supplied for your skin and through this process your skin becomes healthier and resilient and therefore the appearance of stretch marks will be improved.

Are there any contra-indications?
You should not treat cancer, for legal reasons.

Pregnancy is not a contra-indication, if the laser is used with common sense.

Pacemakers are electronic and do not respond to light.

Epilepsy may be a contra-indication.
