This Astaxanthin is naturally sourced from an algae, haematococcus pluvialis.
Astaxanthin is a carotenoid, an intensely red lipid-soluble pigment which gives the red colour in salmon, crayfish and krill. Astaxanthin is a potent antioxidant, reportedly 800 times stronger than CoQ10, 75 times stronger than ALA and 6000 times stronger than Vitamin C.
Research has discovered that astaxanthin absorbs more free radicals than any other antioxidant. It is also indicated for sun protection, exercise recovery and eye health.
