NAC 600 mg is a formula aimed at increasing the production of intracellular glutathione. Supplementation with N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) is the most effective way to increase glutathione

levels in the human body. The antioxidant glutathione tripeptide consists of three amino acids:

L-cysteine, L-glutamic acid and L-glycine. Since L-cysteine usually is the limiting amino acid, supplementation with NAC (a derivative of the sulphur-containing amino acid cysteine) stimulates glutathione synthesis. Increased stimulation of glutathione synthesis is espcially important in aging people.

Glutathione protects the body against free radicals and the related aging process. Glutathione is

not only an important antioxidant, it is also used as part of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase. Glutathione peroxidase is one of the three key enzymes in the enzymatic antioxidant defense system. Supplementation with NAC stimulates the natural immune system through glutathione synthesis. In addition, NAC supports the cleansing function of the liver en has a positive effect on the mucosa of the respiratory tract and the lungs. This way, it makes it easier to breathe freely. Furthermore, NAC has a favourable effect on heart and blood vessels and therefore has a beneficial effect on cholesterol and homocysteine levels.

USE
Take 1 to 2 capsules daily at least half an hour before a meal. Do not take the capsules with food containing protein. NAC is most frequently used in doses of between 200 and 1200 mg, spread evenly throughout the day. Nausea and/or irritation of the stomach may occur if NAC is taken on an empty stomach. Taking NAC along with a light snack without protein (for instance, fruit) usually solves this problem.

Synergism
To function optimally, NAC needs synergists that may be obtained from Multi Vital Forte. Especially alpha lipoic acid, L-glutamine, vitamin C and vitamin E play an important role in the regeneration of glutathione (vitamin C converts oxidised glutathione into its reduced form; vitamin E does the same for vitamin C). Therefore, effective synergistic support would be provided by a good antioxidant complex (Santioxan or Flavoxan) or by alpha lipoic acid 100 mg, L-Glutamine 500 mg or L-Glutamine powder.

SYNERGISM
