Pau d’Arco (Tabebuia impetiginosa), also known as Lapacho, is a huge canopy tree native to the Brazilian rainforest. Nearly 100 species of Lapacho are known, but only a few of these produce the best quality bark for use in Rio Amazon tea. Rio Amazon teabags are made with unbleached paper.
