Can safely be used either on an occasional or daily basis, depending on reasons for use.

Adults and children (1 year & over): Take 1 to 4 capsules depending on need, and up to 6 capsules daily; or as professionally directed.

OptiBac may be used on an ongoing basis.
Ingredients

Live cultures: Saccharomyces boulardii (250mg); vegetarian capsule: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose     
Warnings

It is not recommended to give live cultures to patients who: are severely immunosuppressed, have pancreatitis, are in the Intensive Care Unit, have blood in the stool, have central venous catheters; or to post-surgical patients with open wounds, or infants with short bowel syndrome; unless under a doctor’s care.
