The Skin Formula is an advanced anti-ageing nutritional complex that combines patented, clinically tested collagen peptides (Types I and III), pro-collagen amino acids, hydrating cetylated/esterified fatty acids (Celadrin®) and highly antioxidant frankincense (65% boswellic acid) and Ashwagandha.

Collagen is the major structural component of skin, comprising about 80% of skin’s dry mass. The skin’s epidermis is affected by both dermal layer structure and environmental factors including ageing, ultraviolet radiation, hormones and nutrition. Not all collagen ingredients are created equal; nor supported by the same level of scientific substantiation. The collagen peptides in the Skin Formula are manufactured by a German company called Gelita. Gelita’s clean label means their peptides are made from organic, grass-fed beef, and are free of all artificial ingredients, fillers, sweeteners, as well as gluten free. Believe it or not, some leading formulas out there have got a few nasty things like in them, but they still claim to be “all natural”. Always read the label!_ Is your Skin Formula vegan? Unlike the Day Formula and the Night Formula, which are 100% vegan, the Skin Formula contains bovine collagen peptides and bovine fatty acids. At the moment there is no way of making vegan collagen, but I’m keeping my eyes open for any changes to this situation and will keep all of you vegans posted with any developments.
