N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (N-A-C) is an acetylated from of the amino acid cysteine. This form is better absorbed than regular cysteine, making it an ideal form for a supplement. Cysteine a precursor to the antioxidant enzyme, glutathione. Glutathione is one of the most important antioxidants in the body.
