DESCRIPTION

As it is indispensable to several enzymes, molybdenum is an essential trace element.

As a mineral, molybdenum is less well-known than most others and its health benefits have

only recently been recognised. Nowadays, molybdenum is considered to be an essential

mineral for most mammals and plants. The most frequently occurring natural form of molybdenum

is molybdate.

Depending on the molybdenum content and acidity of the soil, the molybdenum content of

food may differ by as much as a factor 100. In the Netherlands, the molybdenum content in

the soil (and in food) is relatively low; whereas molybdenum intake in most countries is somewhere between 100-500 mcg a day, daily intake in the Netherlands is about 48-96 mcg. For adults, a molybdemum intake of 600 mcg a day is considered safe; children are allowed 10 mcg molybdenum per kilogram of bodyweight per day. Molybdenum is essential for five enzymes: oxidase, xanthine dehydrogenase, sulfite oxidase, aldehyde oxidase and nitrate reductase.

Most important characteristics of Molybdenum 400 mcg:

·    Each tablet contains 400 mcg molybdenum in the form of ammonium molybdate.

·     Small and easy to swallow tablets, for greater convenience during chronic or intensive use.

USE
Take 1 tablet daily, during or immediately after a meal.
